This piece was inspired by Societal experience in the inner city. Day in and day out coming from and going to jobs, different places meeting different people. It really asks the viewer where are you in this environment, being in the inner city where do you fit in and is living in a money driven society really healthy.

Self-identity is where a person reaches a position in their life, where they know and acknowledge who they are, what they want in their lives and has an idea where they want to go. Most importantly they realize and understand their true potential in all things or in what ever they want. Self-identity is one of the most important awareness a person can have. With self-identity you can allow yourself to be free from the chains of what people expect you to be and realize you just have to be your own expectation.

 This Piece is meant to represent a person full filling there own destiny. The usage of the star sirius was a big influence because its considered to be the brightest star, influentially representing each persons own light. Artifacts of ancient civilizations have revealed that Sirius was of a great importance in astronomy, mythology and occultism. Mystery schools consider it to be “sun behind the sun” and, therefore, the true source of our sun’s potency. If our sun’s warmth keeps the physical world alive, Sirius is considered to keep the spiritual world alive.
